The festive procession of the Stars in Lvov (Svyatkova Procession of the Stars) is a solemn procession of the participants of the festival “Spirits of the Holy Stars” » central streets of the city. This action usually takes place on January 8th. The procession begins at the central Market Square, and ends on Svoboda Avenue at a small fair square near Lviv Opera.

Stars, carolers and other participants in the Christmas nativity scene, dressed in traditional outfits, take part in the procession. According to tradition, many people carry colorful Christmas stars in their hands, created by old masters of Lviv.
