About Barcelona

Barcelona is, above all, an unusual and colourful architecture. Antoni Gaudi's creations are worth a look: the Ballo and Mila houses, Park Güell, Sagrada Familia. Barcelona's old historical centre, the Gothic Quarter, with its medieval streets and churches, the most famous of which is the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, is also well preserved.

Another tourist attraction is Mount Montjuïc, with a medieval fortress at its summit and the ethnographic "Spanish Village", the picturesque Spanish Square and the singing fountains of Montjuïc at its foot. You can climb the mountain by funicular railway and one of two cable cars.

Shopping enthusiasts in Barcelona can visit the central pedestrianised La Rambla, as well as the city's malls and outlets. Spain is the birthplace of many famous brands and here you can find unique designer items. In general, Barcelona is one of the few cities where even a week is not enough to see most of the main sights. It's best to come here for a week or two.
