Zurich is not a very large city, its historical center is quite compact. But in order not to miss any interesting object, it is better to use a tourist map of the city.

There are several good tourist maps of Zurich on the Internet. Masha Pasha liked one large format map with historical objects marked on it. We used it when walking around the city. Here is the entire entire map (be careful, it is very large!), as well as the central part of the city enlarged from it.

The historical center of Zurich is quite easy to navigate. The central part of the city is divided in half by the river Limmat. If the railway tells you to walk along the river (or along the central street of the city Bahnhofstrasse), then you will definitely come to Lake Zurich, the coast of which decorated with beautiful parks. All the main interesting tourist sites are located in this area. The only thing is that the Zurich Zoo is located a little away, on the hills. You can either walk there or take a tram.

To communicate with the suburbs and other cities of the country, it is better to use trains. The central railway station is located in the very center of the city. Trains also make stops in other areas of Zurich. The railway in this diagram is marked in black.
