When traveling abroad, tourists are always faced with the same important question: how and where is it better to keep their money so that it doesn’t get stolen? After all, being left without money and documents in a foreign country is such an enemy you won’t want it.

MashaPasha is advised to listen to several important pieces of advice.

1. Try to keep money in different places, spreading the risks. For example, some of the money may be with you, and some with your wife, husband, travel companion, etc. (unless, of course, you are traveling on your own). Or keep some of the money in your wallet, and some in your bag, backpack, inner clothing pocket… That is, it is best to split the entire amount into at least two piles.

2. Take with you on the road both cash in foreign currency (dollars, euros) and bank cards. One complements the other. Cards are not accepted in all places; they can become blocked or demagnetized, so you should always have cash with you. But you shouldn’t take just cash on the road, because cards have many advantages: they can be topped up online (it can be topped up, for example, by your friends or relatives at home if you suddenly need a large amount abroad), the card is easier to block in case of its loss or theft. Naturally, the cards must be from well-known payment systems, preferably Visa or Master Card. Also, be sure to activate the SMS service for informing about all transactions with your bank. In some cases (if the crime rate in the country where you are traveling is quite high), you can also activate the service of confirming all transactions via SMS (some banks offer this service).

3. If there is a safe in the room, use it.If it is not there, then keep the money in your suitcase under a combination lock (this, of course, will not stop thieves, but you will protect yourself from unreliable cleaners and maids). Breaking such a lock is already evidence and a crime; hotel employees will not do this. But they can easily take money from their clothing pocket. And then prove that you had this money and that someone took it.

4. Take only the necessary amount with you on the street; there is no need to carry a large amount of money and stacks of bills with you unless absolutely necessary. You will be paying somewhere on the street or in a store, someone will see that you have a lot of money and will follow you. So they can get robbed. The ideal option is to carry a bank card with you (with a small amount of money on it) + some cash (after all, you can’t pay with a card everywhere). If you need to take a lot of money (for example, for shopping), then put these large bills in a separate place (inner pocket) and without do not shine on them.

5. Try not to leave money unattended on the beachIf you go swimming in the sea, you can put a small amount of money in your swimming trunks pocket. There are also special sealed bags for such purposes.
