Dasoudi Beach Park in Limassol (Dasoudi Beach) is an island of greenery in the city center. There is a large road here that runs along the entire coast Limassol goes to the side and is separated from the sea by a whole eucalyptus grove. This eucalyptus forest is called Dasoudi Park. And the beach, which is located along the forest park, is called Dasudi Beach.

According to MashiPasha, Dasoudi is the best beach in the central part of Limassol. Here, lying on the sand, you don’t hear the noise of cars, there is a lot of greenery around, and the air smells pleasantly of eucalyptus trees.

The length of the beach is a little more than 1 km. On the side of the city center, it is adjacent to the large hotel complex Crowne Plaza Limassol, on the other side (where the exit from the city) begins the hotel tourist area of the Germasogeia coast. From the department store Deberhams Olympia it takes about 5 minutes to walk to Dasoudi Beach. From Central Municipal Park – about 20 minutes. From Molos embankment and the old town of Limassol Dasoudi can be reached on foot in 40-50 minutes. Also, bus No. 30 runs along the entire embankment; you can also take it from the city center to Dasoudi.

Dasoudi Park

Dasoudi Park is a green forest belt, through which there is one narrow pedestrian path called Beach Pat. It is pleasant to walk along this path in the heat, as it is completely in the shade of trees.

Toward the end of the park (on the exit side of the city) there is the Dasoudi cafe and a large parking lot. There is another parking lot approximately in the center of the park (right behind the Park Beach Hotel).

Among the hotels near the park, we can recommend the Park Beach Hotel (it is located right in Dasoudi Park among the eucalyptus forest, you can see prices and book a room on Booking here), and the Atlantic Miramare Beach Hotel. Atlantica Miramare is located right behind the park, at the very beginning of the coast of Germasogeia (the hotel has a warm heated pool, but the hotel’s own beach is bad, you have to walk from here to Dasoudi beach along a rather uncomfortable path and wade across the river, this hotel can be bookedhere).

The best place to relax on Dasoudi beach is near the Dasoudi cafe of the same name. There is a fairly well-kept and wide beach with sun loungers and umbrellas, the cafe has free wi-fi, free toilets (they are to the right of the cafe, behind the slot machines) and a large modern children’s playground, renovated in 2019, with a rubberized surface. This is the best place for a holiday with children by the sea in Limassol.

If you go towards the city center, the beach becomes narrower and wild in places. Accordingly, no one cleans it here and during the season it can be quite dirty.

Sun beds and umbrellas on Dasoudi beach are paid, 2.5 euros each. But there is a lot of free space, the beach is large. You can come with your own umbrella and just sit in the shade of the trees. The entry into the sea is gentle, at first quite shallow. Again, this is convenient for families with children.

In some places, Dasoudi beach is very narrow (in the central part). It is widest along the edges of the park.

And now about the cons. We previously wrote that Dasoudi Beach is the best beach in Limassol. This oh really so. But this is “the best of the worst.” The fact is that Limassol is not the best place for a beach holiday in Cyprus. The sand on local beaches is a dirty gray volcanic color. The beach itself is sandy and pebble. Stones are found in places both on the beach and in the water. During the season there is a lot of garbage on the beach and it is not cleaned up very well. In general, if you absolutely need to go to Limassol, then Dasoudi is the best choice for a beach holiday in the city. But don’t expect anything special from this beach. This is clearly not the best beach in Cyprus 🙂

A quick note. All our photos were taken out of season. In summer, of course, it will be more fun here, there will be umbrellas and sun loungers on the beach. Where there is an organized recreation area, algae and garbage are removed. But the beach is still quite dirty. Although it is certainly beautiful.
