Passover (Pesach) – Jewish Passover. One of the oldest holidays in Israel and in the world in general. Jews celebrate Passover in memory of the “exodus” (exit) of the Jews from slavery in Egypt. It is generally accepted that this event happened around 2100 BC. As a result of this event, the Jews became a people and gained their statehood.
Pesach is also a deeply symbolic holiday. It symbolizes the arrival of spring, the renewal of nature and man, and man’s gaining his freedom. Passover lasts 7 days – from the 15th to the 21st of the month “Nisan” (according to the Jewish calendar). In fact, at this time the whole country goes on Easter holidays.
