The White Night in Brussels festival is an annual event that in 2016 will take place on the night of October 1st to 02nd in the capital of Belgium.
At this time, about 150 cultural institutions of the city (museums, galleries, theaters and cinemas, nightclubs) open their doors to visitors free of charge and work all night.
Also this night, various concerts, exhibitions, performances and installations, light shows and other events are held in the city center. On this day, public transport operates in Brussels all night and connects the establishments that take part in the festival program with each other.
In its format, this festival is reminiscent of the “Night of Museums”, which is held in many European cities, only it is larger-scale. The event program can be viewed on the official website.
Taking part in the White Night festival in Brussels is the Museum of Fine Arts, where you can see paintings by such famous masters as Rembrandt, Pieter de Hooch, Gabriel Metsu and Jacob van Ruisdael.
