The 3-star Hotel Aranea Best is located close to the historical center of Barcelona, a 10-minute walk from Sagrada Familia. This hotel will be a good choice for those who plan not to sit still, but to explore the various sights of the city.

Despite the fact that The Gothic Quarter is located quite far from here (you will have to take the metro), there are many other equally interesting places. In addition to the above-mentioned Sagrada Familia, Glories Square is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. Here is the giant shopping and entertainment center of the same name, as well as the symbol of modern Barcelona – the unusual office skyscraper “Agbar Tower” and the city’s main flea market. A 20-minute walk from the Aranea Best Hotel is the beautiful Ciutadella Park and the city Zoo. A 30-minute walk away are the attractions of the area of ​​Avenue de Gracia (La Pedrera House, Casa Batllo). In the same amount of time you can walk to the beach on the Mediterranean Sea. Considering that hotels in this area are much cheaper than hotels in the historical center of Barcelona, we found accommodation in this area quite good. The Aranea Hotel is a multi-storey building with 84 rooms. There is a restaurant where buffet breakfast is served, as well as an elevator and a terrace with sun loungers on the roof of the hotel. The photos in the article were taken from the hotel’s website; we didn’t take photos of the rooms, but the rooms are identical.

The standard hotel room is small and simple. Our double room had a double bed, air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, bathroom. We were in Barcelona in May, so we didn’t use air conditioning. How it works is difficult to say. Everything else worked, we didn’t have any problems. The only thing missing in the room was a kettle.

In advertising photographs of the hotel, the Sagrada Familia temple should have been visible from the windows of our room, but our windows looked out onto a small narrow courtyard in the form of a well, so we had no view from the window. Of course, some of the rooms face the street with a view of the city – so it depends on your luck. To be honest, we were even glad of this view; at least we couldn’t hear any noise from the street. The hotel has Wi-Fi, the speed is average.

Breakfast is a buffet. But in our opinion, 9 euros per person is expensive.

For breakfast (buffet) at the hotel they ask for 9 euros per person. In our opinion, it is expensive; in nearby city cafes you can eat for less money, so we did not take breakfast at the hotel.
