How to inexpensively go to Disneyland in Paris on your own – our review and tips before your trip.

Before you go to Paris Disneyland you need to take into account the fact that this is a unique amusement park (the only one of its kind in Europe) and here A huge number of people are trying to get there. Therefore, it is crowded here all year round and in order to ride the popular attraction you have to stand in line. If you do not want to spoil your impression of the park, it is better not to come here on holidays, weekends and during the European summer school holidays. And in general, in the summer there are almost always a lot of people here.

Masha Pasha visited Disneyland in mid-May on a weekday. There were a lot of people, but it was tolerable. We never stood in line for more than half an hour. In our opinion, this is a good time to visit the park (it is already warm, but there is not a strong influx of people yet). In winter (with the exception of the high season of Christmas and New Year) there will be fewer people, but in bad cold weather it is not very comfortable to walk around Disneyland. Also, in bad weather (raining or snowing), some outdoor attractions (such as roller coasters) may be closed.

Main Street and Disneyland Castle, there are always a lot of people here, even in bad weather.

It is better to come to the park early in the morning. The best thing to do is decide in advance on the attractions that are most interesting to you and go there right away. You can see where they are located on our Disneyland map, and you can see the list of the most popular attractions here.

Disneyland Paris has two large parks: Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios. It is impossible to visit both parks in one day (other than just walking through their territory). Therefore, Masha Pasha advises: to visit it is better to choose either one park or go here for two days. It is definitely better to go to Disneyland with small children. Walt Disney Studios is primarily intended for adults.

Disneyland Park has a lot of beautiful scenery

Disneyland Park has a lot of beautiful scenery for Disney films and cartoons; you don’t have to go on the rides here, you can just take a walk

Disneyland has many different eateries, restaurants and cafes. But prices there will be very high (more expensive than in Paris), so it’s better to take water and sandwiches with you. By the way, many locals do just that.

Tickets to Disneyland Paris are best purchased in advance on your own via the Internet. There will be queues at the ticket office before entering the park and you will waste your valuable free time (or you could go straight to the attractions). Tickets can be purchased on Disney’s official website, but they are often more expensive there than from distributors. ticket sales. A cheaper tariff can be found, for example, on the musement website here or on the tiqets website follow this link.

You can also purchase additional fast pass tickets (FastPass) at Disneyland. This is a separate ticket for a specific attraction for a specific time in a fast (separate) queue.

You can stay in a hotel right on the territory of Disneyland (there are 6 of them), but the prices are quite high. On the plus side, you can enter the park an hour earlier than regular visitors. Here is a list of these hotels:

Many who travel to Paris specifically because of Disneyland prefer to stay in one of the private hotels near the RER Val d’Europe train station (it’s just one stop from Disneyland itself, 10 minutes and you’re there) ste, besides, there is a large shopping center here). A hotel near the RER Val d’Europe station can be found on the map below (Hotel Booking system). The stop where Disneyland is located is called Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy.

The advantage of staying in a hotel near Disneyland is that it is close to Charles de Gaulle International Airport, where most tourists arrive. And from here it’s only 10 minutes by train to Disneyland (train tickets starting from 15 euros can be purchased in advance here). If you are 2-3 people, you can also order a taxi (transfer cost is about 60 euros, we recommend ordering from intui.travel at this link).

If you want to take a walk around Paris in addition to Disneyland, then it’s better to stay in the city center (you can read about our walking routes in Paris here< /a>), and go to Disneyland on your own by commuter train. Travel time is about 40 minutes.

Suburban trains RER A (red line “A”) go to Disneyland from Paris. An adult one-way ticket costs 7.6 euros (children under 4 years old are free, under 9 years old – 3.8 euros). You can buy tickets in terminals directly at the metro station. You will need to go to the final stop Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy (this is the train direction you need to choose, be careful, trains on this line go in several different directions). From the Marne-la-Vallée/Chessy station you only need to walk 100 meters to the entrance to Disneyland. In the center of Paris, the RER A train stops at the following metro stations: Charles de Gaulle Etoile, Auber (Opéra), Châtelet Les Halles, Gare de Lyon, Nation. Masha Pasha chose the hotel Alexandrie Hotel near the Gare de Lyon train station. Hotels here were cheaper than in the very center of Paris, but up to Notre Dame or The Louvre could also be easily reached on foot from here.
