Citybeach Alanya Keykubat is the largest beach in the city, its length is more than three km. However, the quality of the sand and seabed here is not the best, so many tourists prefer another city beach – Cleopatra Beach.

Keykubat Beach is located southeast of the center of Alanya. It starts immediately near city port and stretches towards the suburb of Mahmutlar. That is, it is located on the other side Alanya fortress mountain from Cleopatra Beach.

Despite the fact that Keykubat beach has a “blue flag” for its cleanliness, it did not seem very clean to Masha Pasha. The sand here is not as golden as on Cleopatra Beach, but rather dirty gray. And the Keykubat beach itself can be called sandy rather conditionally. In some places, grass grows, there are areas with pebbles, there are stones in the sea (although there are stones in the water on Cleopatra Beach, the proximity of the mountains still affects it). The entrance to the sea is quite shallow, making it comfortable for children. But for swimming it is better to wear special shoes so as not to injure your feet on the stones.

Embankment along Keykubat beach

There is a road and an embankment along Keykubat beach. There are no large parks or green spaces, not much shade.

Entrance to the beach is free. As elsewhere, here you can rent sunbeds and umbrellas for money. The cost of renting an umbrella is from two dollars.

Immediately behind Keykubat beach, another Alanya beach begins – Portakal Beach, but Masha Pasha, unfortunately, was not there.

One of the obvious advantages of the beach is that there will be fewer people here during the season than on the more popular and promoted Cleopatra Beach. There is clearly more free space here. To swim, it is better to move away from the port; the water near it can be dirty due to ships arriving at the port.

Entrance to Keykubat beach is free

Entrance to Keykubat beach is free. There are changing cabins, fresh water showers, and sun loungers and umbrellas for an additional fee.

Keykubat Beach is named after Sultan Ala ad-din Keykubat, who lived in Alanya in the 13th century and built a castle here castle , Red Tower and other city attractions. The city itself is named after the Sultan.

Along the city beach there is a wide boulevard of Akhmet Tokusha and a small pedestrian area – the embankment (see our map of Alanya where the beach is located ). There is not much shade, there are few trees. City buses No. 1 and 101 run along the road along the beach. They can take you to the city center and to Cleopatra Beach.
