Ha-Tahana Station in Tel Aviv is the former Mitham HaTahana railway station, opened in Palestine back in 1892. At one time there was a train here that connected the port Jaffa with Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. Now this station no longer functions as a train station. After reconstruction, a large complex of the station itself and neighboring ancient buildings, combined into an open-air museum, was opened on its territory.

Entrance to the territory of Ha-Tahana is free. The station has well preserved the atmosphere of the late 19th century. There is everything here that reminds of that era: the station itself with old tracks and carriages, a complex of small historical buildings (22 buildings in total), which in appearance are somewhat reminiscent of the scenery for a film about the Wild West.

In terms of infrastructure, there are several good cafes (both indoors and outdoors), souvenir shops (here, by the way, is the best selection of magnets in all of Tel Aviv), a bookstore, and several designer boutiques. On Fridays there is a small market on Ha-Tahan, and various exhibitions are often held here.

Finding HaTahana Train Station in Tel Aviv is easy. It is located halfway between old Jaffa and the picturesque Neve Tzedek area, right near the beginning of Tel Aviv promenade. Jaffa is about 200-300 meters on foot from here.

Our overall impression of visiting Ha-Tahana station: it is a picturesque, cozy and calm place where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or food in one of the cafes, or just take a walk around the beautiful grounds.
