The International Beer Festival, popularly known as the “Beer Mile“, is a good alternative to Oktoberfestheld in Munich.
The Beer Mile has been held annually in Berlinon the first weekend of August since 1996.
The festival venue is a large space on Karl-Marx-Allee, more than 2 km long. (today it is much more than the original “mile” of the festival). This huge territory hosts tents of representatives of beer producers from all over Germany (and not only, today foreign varieties of this drink are also represented here).
The territory of the beer festival is divided into 21 states – regions of Germany, each of which presents its own types of beer. In total, more than 350 beer producers take part in the event, presenting more than two and a half thousand varieties of this drink for tasting.
Entry to the festival is free. First, you will need to buy a 200 gram mug of beer for 4 euros (the mug is a gift). After that, you can simply walk from tent to tent with your mug and taste this drink (average price – 3 euros).
In addition to beer, snacks are sold at the Beer Mile, and various groups and groups perform on multiple stages.
