The Mayor de Gràcia is a colorful street festival (fiesta) that takes place in the penultimate week of August in the Gràcia district of Barcelona.
During the fiesta, this area of the city fills with people. Stages are built on the streets where various musical groups and dance ensembles perform. Local residents decorate the facades of their houses and balconies as best they can. On the street there are numerous shops, kiosks and cafes where you can buy all sorts of trinkets, have a snack and drink a mojito.
