Easter (Resurrection of Christ) is one of the most important Christian holidays. It is celebrated in memory of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ – an event that underlies all Christian teaching.

Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the spring full moon. However, due to the use of different calendars, the dates for Easter are different in the West and in Orthodoxy.

Catholic (Western) Easter will take place on the following upcoming dates:

In 2024, Easter was on Sunday March 31st. In 2025, Easter will take place on Sunday 20 April. In 2026, Easter will be on April 5th.

Jews have their own Passover – Passover.
